Maps Measure 1.5.1

The Maps Measure app is a simple yet powerful tool for measuring distances and areas on Google Maps. With just a few clicks, users can add points on the map and the app will automatically calculate the distance, area, or elevation between those points. Unlike other navigation apps, this app does not calculate routes or offer navigation features.

Accessing additional options is easy - simply swipe in from the left side of the screen. And if you need to start fresh, long-click on the trash icon to delete all set points.

Key features of the Maps Measure app include the ability to measure distances, areas, and elevations in both imperial and metric units. It also offers different map views including map, hybrid-satellite, and terrain. Perhaps most importantly, this app is ad-free and only requires minimal permissions. Additionally, it follows an open-source model which adds transparency and credibility.

While most features are available for free, the elevations feature requires a small in-app purchase of 0.99 EUR or 1.49 USD.

Permissions required for this app are internet access and access network state for displaying the map and retrieving altitude data, write external storage for caching map data, access coarse location and access fine location for displaying your current location on the map, and billing for upgrading to the pro-version via in-app purchase.
